BRING BRAZILIAN FLAIR TO THE TABLE THIS SUMMER WITH NEW COOKING SAUCES FROM FUNNYBONES FOODSERVICE
Tex Mex food specialists Funnybones Foodservice is bringing some Brazilian flair to the table this summer, just in time for the Rio Olympics, with the launch of two ready-to-use cooking sauces.

Completely NEW to the UK foodservice market the sauces, manufactured by authentic Brazilian brand ‘Rio – A Taste of Brazil’ contain no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives and are made to an authentic recipe reminiscent of that found in many Brazilian households.

‘Moranga’ is a creamy and mildly spiced sauce originating from São Paulo that is sure to get diners in the carnival spirit.  Typically served with shrimp, it also works well with all kinds of fish, chicken, rice or potato - making it a hugely versatile product.

Another firm favourite with Brazilian families is ‘Moqueca’.  A mild combination of coconut, tomato, coriander and lemon, this stunning sauce adds quality and authenticity to everything from fish, and chicken to vegetables.

Both sauces are suitable for vegetarians and are gluten free – with Moqueca also suitable for vegans. Both are available in 2 x 2.5kg tubs.

As well as using as a cooking sauce, why not think about using Moranga or Moqueca as a dip alongside starters and sides? Additional sauces can be a great way to upsell and are the perfect way to introduce customers to new flavours.

And, if you want to give customers the full Brazilian experience then why not pair the sauces as a dip alongside Funnybones’ NEW ‘Pao de Queijo’? These Brazilian cheese puffs are light and crisp with a fluffy dough centre, and are made with tapioca flour and parmesan style tangy cheese.

They are ideal as a single portion or sharing starter, side dish or grab and go option. And the beauty of these puffs is that operators can vary portion sizes accordingly to suit their menu.

Unlike some similar products on the market they are pre-cooked, reducing the cooking time by around 75% - perfect for busy operators with high turnaround. Simply oven bake from frozen for 3-4 mins at 180 °C.

Totally gluten free ‘Pao de Queijo’ are suitable for both a standard and dedicated gluten free menu so they can be enjoyed by all.
